Guided by faith, strengthened by family, and proven through service, Chris Obenhaus is ready to lead Hockley County.

 

I am Chris Obenhaus, a two-time United States Marine Corps combat veteran, former deputy with the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office, and a man of faith that knows that public service is a calling on my life.

 

The Texas Panhandle and its unique way of life is deeply rooted in my story, spending my childhood in both Hockley and Lubbock County. I made Levelland my place to call home eleven years ago. My wife, Brooke and I are continuing a legacy that my great-grandparents laid the foundation for in 1934, by raising our family in Hockley County. 

 

I believe that county government should reflect honesty, stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and respect for the rule of the law. Hockley County doesn't need leaders that operate on the “that’s how we’ve always done it” model of business. Our county deserves attention in its entirety, and fresh eyes and thoughts that are ready for the future while preserving our past.
